Absorbing. Sharing. Creating.

There is an unmistakably dreamy and inspired side to me that is forever present, I express it by absorbing and sharing my appreciation for music and the arts. I enjoy creating too, however the desire to create poetry has eluded me.

While searching my email for a thought I typed myself, I found a little something I had written about ‘her’. I first believed it was something I found & liked enough to save but “Today, hot tamales, the sunrise, the full moon, leather bags & scriptures” is specific to only one.

Sometime early 2010 ...

You don’t have to respond … this allows me to move on

Every day thoughts.

Every day images.

Every day sounds.

Every day reminders,

Time.

& still,

Today, I wish I would have made that trip.

Today, I look at your photo(s).

Today, I hear the sound of your voice.

Today, hot tamales, the sunrise, the full moon, leather bags & scriptures,

Time.

& still,

You don’t have to respond … this allows me to move on.

I learned three things today ...

Love, whether the newness, the overflow or the loss of inspires you to create.

Poetry is about creating from what inspires you.

Time is a valuable asset, it renews.
