Life Changes - Me

MEETING PEOPLE WHERE THEY ARE

Young, Middle Age and Older Adults

Over the past ten years, I have connected with truly remarkable people. Our lives go better connecting with those who help us evolve into our higher selves. Life has taught me to see the best in people, and it’s driven me mental when people see the worst in me. Life should say show them the best in themselves because they forget that. Self-improvement is a two-way street.

  1. Improve relationships

  2. Healthy living

  3. Write more

  4. Read more [less television]

  5. Increase income

  6. Increase savings

  7. Find ways to stay in love cultivate love

  8. Practice humility; intellectually, socially, and emotionally

  9. Get organized [in general but also finances, insurance & other important records]

  10. Spiritual growth

  11. Smile & laugh more

  12. Meditate

In two thousand fourteen, I started a “Better Thinking” routine in place of New Year’s resolutions. I started with the twelve ideas numbered above, introducing one each month and incorporating them together throughout the year. The thought is perfect; however, I am imperfect.

An unsuccessful marriage was doubly dynamic —

A challenge, and an opportunity.

THE CHALLENGE

“All difficult, challenging, painful experiences and relationships provide us with an opportunity to heal some part of our consciousness.”

THE OPPORTUNITY

“Being thankful.”

It’s hard to see the good around you when your record is zero outta’ seven. Yet, being genuinely thankful for challenges and opportunities is a great way to change. Change hate to love, change fall to rise, change take to give, change lose to find, change won’t to will.

Logical calisthenics make me a better person. A better father, son, brother, friend, and employee.

However, I ain’t shit when it comes to a romantic partner. Folks be’ looking for forever and I’m looking for right now— tell your single aunties about me.

My first girlfriend was in 7th grade, we were “will you go with me? Check one – Yes or No” all the way through 9th. This theme would continue my whole life, one long-term relationship after the other. I know what it takes to be a great boyfriend, partner, or husband— It takes work.

Obey. Love. Serve. Excel.

I could be a great boyfriend, partner, or husband except… I do NOT want to do the work.

Eyes Tied Boss.

Lol, I’m just serious.

Homo sum humani a me nihl alienum puto, I Am a human being so nothing human is strange to me.

As I have aged, I’ve been relatable to young, middle age and older adults. Because of, rather than despite… I recognize that we all fall, we all are imperfect, no matter how young, middle-aged, or old we are—

I see you and meet you where you are.

I remain,
