Emotional Calisthenics

First, they love you, then they hate you, then they love you again.

Then they spin the block, but always on some passive-agress-her terms masked as humor.

Received a text message at one-thirty ante meridiem— A meme using the guy tapping his finger on his head, having just thought of something. He’s figured out a way to avoid his problems, and is passing it along to you as a genius strategy…

I delayed my signal reaction, not allowing my amygdala to get hijacked. The meme was followed by—

“This you?”

“Lol”

“I can’t sleep. I read your little post.”

Deep, deep, deep, deep, deep, deep, deep, deep, deep, deep, deep sigh.

Love, Undeserving Of is the post referenced with the following highlighted…

“At this point, I’m now engaged in emotional calisthenics and counterweights have been attached to all of my feelings.”

I’m not sure why this elicited a reaction, maybe for the literary merit ;) Although, there is truth in the meme, I won’t play victim and I accept my role in how things ended. However, I only had a cameo appearance, I was not a full cast member.
